I know today will be another tough day for queer and trans people, including myself, today. Our opening night for our play British Honduras Fantasy, part of the Trans Theatre Festival, is tonight. We’re just hoping that we’ll be able to successfully get through the show. To show the brilliance, resilience, and also persecution of our communities. It’s a disturbingly real and relevant story. Working through this show has already been an emotionally taxing experience. In light of the disgusting massacre of queer and trans latinx people in Orlando, I hope our cast can help our communities (and each other) get through.
